Test the Signal Against the Source.
FORMEX Signal Intelligence™ examines how a person, organization, product, project or opportunity is found, understood, differentiated, compared, supported and interpreted across the public digital and AI environment.
Then it compares that outside signal with what the responsible source has intentionally declared.
See what the outside world sees.
Compare it with what has been declared.
Diagnose the gap.
Determine what deserves underwriting.
The Source Says What You Intend. The Signal Shows What the World Receives.
Those two things are not always the same.
A clear declaration can still encounter fragmented search results, outdated biographies, conflicting third-party descriptions, weak evidence, unclear authority or AI interpretations built from incomplete information.
Signal Intelligence examines the distance between the intended source and the distributed signal.
Three Different Questions
What Has Been Declared?
What has the responsible person or institution intentionally stated, accepted responsibility for and placed into the FORMEX record?
What Does the Outside World See?
What do search, public sources, competitors, communities and AI systems actually encounter, repeat and interpret?
Why Is There a Gap?
Is the difference caused by weak discovery, inconsistent identity, unsupported claims, missing evidence, unclear authority, outdated sources or deeper institutional conditions?
Visibility Is Only the Beginning.
Signal Intelligence examines what people and AI can reasonably conclude after they find you.
Found
Can the correct person, organization, product, project or opportunity be reliably discovered?
Understood
Is it clear what the subject is, what it does and why it matters?
Differentiated
Are meaningful distinctions visible, or does the subject appear interchangeable with alternatives?
Compared
What happens when the subject is compared with competitors, peers or other choices?
Supported
Do important claims appear connected to visible evidence, authority and context?
Distributed
Is authority supported beyond owned sources across independent evidence, search, social and community environments?
Interpreted by AI
How do AI systems summarize, qualify, distinguish, compare and potentially recommend the subject?
The Symptom May Appear Outside. The Cause May Originate Inside.
This is where FORMEX Signal Intelligence differs from a conventional visibility or optimization audit.
The Public Signal
- Website and public digital presence
- Search visibility and discoverability
- AI-generated descriptions and summaries
- Competitive positioning
- Public claims and representations
- Independent evidence and references
- Missing or conflicting information
- Community and social signals
- Information visible to an outside decision-maker
The Probable Cause
- Mismatch with the declared source
- Unclear institutional identity
- Unsupported or inconsistent claims
- Missing evidence
- Unclear authority or ownership
- Weak differentiation
- Strategic ambiguity
- Outdated third-party information
- Fragmented Source-of-Truth architecture
Observe First. Diagnose Before Prescribing.
Signal Intelligence separates observation, diagnosis and underwriting so the response remains proportional to the actual problem.
Observe
Examine the existing public environment as an outside person, search system or AI platform encounters it.
Compare
Compare the public signal with the declared source, competitors, peers and relevant alternatives.
Diagnose
Identify fragmentation, contradictions, interpretive risk and probable causes.
Map
Determine which findings require clarification, evidence, authority review or deeper FORMEX underwriting.
Recommend
Identify what should be corrected, strengthened, underwritten, monitored or amplified.
FORMEX Begins Where a Visibility Score Often Ends.
SEO, AEO, GEO and AI-visibility tools can provide useful information. Signal Intelligence addresses a different layer of the problem.
| Question | Visibility-Oriented Review | FORMEX Signal Intelligence™ |
|---|---|---|
| Can you be found? | Primary concern | Starting point |
| How does AI describe you? | Often measured | Examined in context |
| How are you differentiated? | Sometimes measured | Central to interpretation |
| What has the source declared? | Usually outside scope | Used as an intentional reference point |
| Are important claims visibly supported? | Usually outside scope | Examined as an authority signal |
| Does independent evidence support the source? | Sometimes noted | Evaluated as Distributed Authority |
| Why is the signal fragmented? | Often treated as a content problem | Probable causes are diagnosed |
| What requires deeper examination? | Usually outside scope | Mapped to FORMEX underwriting requirements |
| What should be amplified? | Often optimized for reach | Only from stronger, supportable ground |
Signal Check vs. Signal Intelligence
The mirror and the professional diagnostic are not the same thing.
FORMEX Signal Check
A simple first look at what the public environment appears to communicate today.
- Can begin with one public website
- Public information only
- Basic discovery and clarity review
- Obvious fragmentation or inconsistency
- Initial AI impression where appropriate
- No public score required
- No obligation to continue
The Signal Check is a mirror. It helps someone see whether deeper work may create value.
FORMEX Signal Intelligence™
A structured outside-in assessment used when interpretation, comparison, authority or decision quality matter more deeply.
- Declared source used as a reference point
- Cross-AI platform interpretation
- Competitive and peer comparison
- Fragmentation analysis
- Probable-cause diagnosis
- Independent evidence assessment
- Distributed Authority analysis
- Mapping to underwriting requirements
Signal Intelligence identifies what deserves correction, evidence, authority review or Passport underwriting.
Before and After the Source Is Established
Signal Intelligence can become more valuable when it is used over time.
Baseline Signal
Before declaration, examine what the public environment currently communicates and where ambiguity exists.
Declared Source
Establish a Statement of Truth and a referenceable FORMEX Registry record identifying what the responsible party is prepared to stand behind.
Post-Declaration Intelligence
Re-examine the outside environment to determine whether clarity, coherence, discovery, AI interpretation or Distributed Authority have changed.
Signal Intelligence Shows Where to Look Next.
Not every problem requires a FORMEX Passport. Signal Intelligence helps distinguish what can be corrected directly from what deserves deeper examination.
Representation
Some problems can be corrected through clearer websites, profiles, descriptions or structured source material.
Evidence
Some findings reveal important claims without sufficient visible or accessible support.
Authority
Some ambiguity comes from uncertainty about who can speak, decide, represent or commit.
Passport Underwriting
Higher-stakes findings may require deeper examination of claims, evidence, readiness, authority and unresolved questions.
The Source Comes First. Signal Intelligence Tests What Travels.
DECLARE + ESTABLISH
Create the Statement of Truth, identify the responsible source and establish a referenceable Registry record.
TEST
Use FORMEX Signal Intelligence to compare the declared source with the public, competitive and AI environment.
UNDERWRITE + DISTRIBUTE
Underwrite what deserves deeper support, then strengthen trustworthy authority across independent environments.
AI Increasingly Interprets You Before People Meet You.
Investors, customers, partners, donors, employees and referral sources may encounter an AI-generated interpretation before they encounter the subject directly.
AI can retrieve, summarize and compare what it finds. But the existence of information does not automatically establish which source is current, which claim is sufficiently supported or who has authority.
Understanding FORMEX Signal Intelligence™
What is FORMEX Signal Intelligence™?
FORMEX Signal Intelligence is the structured outside-in analysis of how a person, organization, product, project or opportunity is found, understood, differentiated, compared, supported, distributed and interpreted across public digital and AI environments. It compares that outside signal with the declared source and identifies fragmentation, probable causes and matters that may deserve deeper underwriting.
Is Signal Intelligence the same as the complimentary Signal Check?
No. The complimentary Signal Check is a simple first-look baseline using publicly available information. Professional Signal Intelligence is a deeper diagnostic that can include a declared-source comparison, competitive analysis, cross-AI interpretation, probable-cause analysis, Distributed Authority and an underwriting map.
Does professional Signal Intelligence require a Statement of Truth?
A Statement of Truth materially strengthens professional Signal Intelligence because it establishes an intentional source against which the outside signal can be compared. A complimentary Signal Check can still be performed before a formal declaration exists.
Does Signal Intelligence verify claims?
No. Signal Intelligence examines whether claims appear supported or unsupported in the public environment and identifies where deeper evidence review may be needed. FORMEX Passport underwriting performs the deeper examination of claims, evidence, authority and readiness.
Is this an SEO, AEO or GEO audit?
No. SEO, AEO and GEO primarily address discovery, visibility and optimization. FORMEX also examines interpretation, differentiation, public support, fragmentation, probable causes, authority, Distributed Authority and whether deeper institutional underwriting may be warranted.
What is Distributed Authority?
Distributed Authority describes credibility and trust that are supported beyond an owned source across independent evidence, search, social or community environments and AI interpretation. Signal Intelligence helps determine whether those outside environments reinforce or weaken the intended source.
Can Signal Intelligence measure improvement over time?
Yes. A baseline assessment can show the original public signal. Later Signal Intelligence can test whether a stronger Statement of Truth, Registry presence, improved source architecture or other corrective work has changed discovery, interpretation, coherence or Distributed Authority.
Does Signal Intelligence create FORMEX Registry status?
No. Registry status comes through the FORMEX declaration and review pathway. Signal Intelligence tests how the outside environment relates to that source and can identify what deserves deeper underwriting.
Do I automatically need a FORMEX Passport after Signal Intelligence?
No. Some findings may be corrected through clearer representation, source architecture or evidence visibility. Passport underwriting becomes relevant when important claims, authority, readiness, evidence or unresolved questions require deeper examination.
Can I still request a Signal Check for someone else?
Yes. FORMEX Give Clarity allows someone to give another person or organization a complimentary outside-in first look. The recipient retains authorship over anything they later choose to declare or underwrite.
What Does the Outside World See— and Why?
Establish what you are prepared to stand behind. Then test whether the public, competitive and AI environment supports it.
